I grew up in a house of four daughters. And one king. We were very aggressively socialized into anti-feminism. I have some idea what anti-feminist women sound like, why they protect the patriarchy, and what it takes to get out of that. I think we need to better understand what it takes for women to step out of their patriarchal roles and consider experiences of others, of the collective. It has a lot to do with the way the system works for them. Women for whom the system works are not eager to change it. But learning to think differently ultimately comes down to one very clear concept: Compassion.
