The Israeli government has blood on its hands

700 days of nonstop bloodshed.

The Israeli government has blood on its hands. The government continues to choose death over life. For 700 days, making these choices. It is choosing death and killing and destruction instead of choosing to end this and build a different future.

Just a reminder that three days into this war, Hamas offered Israel a deal to release all the hostages in exchange for a ceasefire and return of prisoners. The offer then was 3 Palestinian prisoners for each hostage. The israeli government under Benjamin Netanyahu did not even respond. Instead they chose more bloodshed.

Over the past 700 days, the price keeps going up. Ten prisoners per hostage. 50 prisoner. 100.

There is currently a deal on the table to end the way and get all the hostages out. In exchange for Israel getting out of Gaza. The Israeli government isn't even discussing it. They are, instead, invading more. Conquering. Killing. Destroying. Starving.

Just a reminder that this war and the killing do not save hostages, do not prevent another oct 7, do not destroy Hamas, do not make Israelis better off, do not make jews around the safer, nothing. This war does none of that.

Even the head of the IDF says that there is no point to this war and is urging -- begging -- the government to take the deal.

And if your concern is just the hostages, remember this:
You know how many hostages out of 250 the IDF saved over 2 years? 8
You know how many hostages were killed as a result of IDF actions? 41
You know how many hostages were returned in deals? 150

Millions of Israelis have been protesting nonstop to get this government to take the deal and end the war. This is not what millions of Israelis want. Over 80% want the government to end the war. They do not want to be killing babies, starving Gazans, conquering Gaza, and condemning hostages to death. They want this government to end it.

The Israeli government is violating the will of the people. Its 68 coalition members are laughing. Partying. Going on vacation. Planning holiday celebrations. Spending money on their pet projects. Building an airport in Uman so haredim can go away for Rosh Hashana. Calling up 60,000 more reservists. Refusing to protect them. Announcing that 100 reservists will die. Accepting that the hostages will die. Not even discussing Palestinians. Taking over the West Bank, too.

The Netanyahu government is making bloody, illegal, immoral, outrageous decisions that are destroying millions of lives.

And the majority of Israelis do NOT want this. The government is violating the will of the majority.

The Israeli government is generating hatred of Israel and hatred of Jews. Every day more and more countries and communities are boycotting Israel. More and more Jewish communities around the world are in danger. Because of the bloody, illegal, immoral decisions of this government.

The Israeli government is destroying the future of Israel. Spending money on war and pet projects rather on building the country on a foundation of mutual responsibility.

The Israeli government is killing the hostages. They know it. They know that the current incursion into Gaza will cause hostages to die. They are doing it anyway.

The Israeli government is killing soldiers. Including those committing suicide and experiencing PTSD and moral injury b/c of the things the government is making them do.

AND the Israeli government is destroying the Palestinian people. Purposely. Intentionally. Starting with children. Ethnic cleansing. Genocide. Do these words make you uncomfortable? Do you want to look away or close your eyes or argue with me that it's not true? Too bad it IS true. We are doing this. Our government is doing this. On purpose. They openly admit it. And then accuse the world of lying about it. This isn't a lie. We are doing this.

Israel has killed over 18000 children, including 10 last night hiding in a tent. There is nothing you can say that can make this justifiable. Nothing.

The Israeli government is doing this in our name. As if we want it. We DO NOT want this.

This government is destroying the future of Israel and the future of the Jewish people. It has decimated the idea that we are a people that prefers life. That we are a people driven by compassion. That "all of Israel are responsible for one another." The government has made it impossible for us to believe that about ourselves.

What this government has destroyed will be nearly impossible to come back from and rebuild.

700 days. Unbelievable. Unbearable. All of it.

If you want less killing in the world, you need to stop killing.
